Phil is a national behavioral healthcare expert with over 45 years of experience. He is a featured speaker on clinical excellence and addiction treatment with keynote and panel conference presentations for the West Coast Symposium of Addiction Disorders, the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP), Moment of Change, and the CRC Health Group Professional Development Workshop. Most recently, Phil served as Chief Clinical Officer for CRC Health Group where he was responsible for the measurement and improvement of clinical services and the research and development of new treatment technologies. Specifically, Phil oversaw all MAT activities at CRC which was the nation’s largest provider of MAT services prior to the sale to Acadia. He also oversaw the CRC Clinical Advisory Board of distinguished healthcare industry experts. Before joining CRC in 2002, Phil served as Chief Executive Officer of Behavioral Health Concepts, a national mental health management company that he founded in 1993. He also spent eight years with Republic/OrNda Health Corporation where he developed and managed free-standing psychiatric and substance abuse treatment hospitals. Phil began his career as a Clinical Psychologist in Southern California where he practiced for 10 years.
