Mark Kaufman

Mark Kaufman is the Founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Athletico Physical Therapy (“Athletico”) and has over 22 years of experience in the physical therapy industry. Mark has grown Athletico from a single location in Chicago in 1991 to a leading physical therapy provider in the Midwest with more than 500 locations throughout 12 states. Athletico offers physical and occupational therapy, athletic training and personal fitness services. Mark also served on the Board of Directors for Excel Rehabilitation Services and Michigan Rehabilitation Specialists, a former Shore Capital backed company.

Mark also serves on the Good Samaritan Hospital’s Development Council and is also the board chair for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago.Mark received his B.S. in Athletic Training and Physical Education from the University of Iowa in 1986. Mark subsequently obtained his M.S. in Exercise and Sports Sciences from the University of Arizona in 1988 and received a B.S. in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in 1989.
